Purpose

To create an integrated eLearning technology solution that supports online education and learning. ACCD plans to implement a full suite of technology tools to support our elearning environment. The purpose of this project is to replace our current WebCT Campus Edition software to WebCT Vista. WebCT Vista has several options for managing online courses and it is easy to use and is scalable to meeting the growing demands of our online community, including faculty and students.

• Unified digital system that supports the growing needs of online students and faculty and help them to move to an enterprise level.
• Extensible system which is scalable and that which adds value to the current learning management suite.
• Automate course creation and student enrollment process by integrating WebCT Vista with our enterprise Banner administrative system.
• Integrated Learning Management system with PALS to provide ease of access and enhanced interoperability.
• Implement a robust system that allows for institution wide content sharing, personalization and flexible with the different types of online courses.
• To expand access to Learning Resources.
• Facilitate collaboration, sharing and community building around content and services.
